What sort of organisation is NSH?
NSH is run by a Board of Management with 15 Board members representing a broad cross-section of local and professional interests. There are: • 5 North Somerset Council nominees • 5 tenants • 5 independent local business people There is also one leasehold co-optee. All Board members are unpaid volunteers, being reimbursed for out-of-pocket expenses only. The Board employs paid staff to run the housing service on a day-to-day basis; many of these staff are the people that provided the housing service for the Council.
