What sort of encryption is used and how secure is it?

A. Our secure servers use a variety of cryptosystems based on RSA (a collection of encryption algorithms owned and patented in the US by RSA Data Security Inc). All of these encryption systems use ‘keys’, which are essentially large numbers based on mathematical formulae. There is no known proven way for an attacker for recover the original data from the encrypted stream as sent across the network connection except by recovering the key and applying it to the data using the correct mathematical algorithm. So assuming the original keys were kept by the person who generated them and did not fall into the wrong hands, any attacker would need to generate every possible key and attempt to apply each key to the encrypted data to try and find the right key to decrypt that particular data. Clearly the longer a key is, the harder this will be. Our servers use keys at least 128 bits (binary digits) long, which means that an attacker will have to generate keys and attempt to decrypt the data up t
