What sort of effect has there been on the anti-globalization movement in the Third World, in Asia?
I think people are quite ambivalent about it. On the one hand people are very sorry about the deaths that happened. But on the other hand I think people realize that the roots of what happened are the inequalities and the sorts of injustices that have been created by domination by the United States. People are horrified by the terror, but at the same time they also under stand and some of them are even quite politically sympathetic with the political objectives, but not the methods of what occurred. And I think since the bombing of Afghanistan, people there are very much against this war. They are extremely upset at the way that this anti-Islamic fervour has been created.
