That indicates to me that the Mid Chamber shafts ran between an intact inner plate (Mid Chamber Wall) and an intact outer plate (limestone casing and granite core wall). It will be very interesting to see what lies beyond the limestone stone blocking the South Shaft of the Mid Chamber, at the level of the floor of the Upper Chamber. It might possibly provide feed-back between Upper Chamber tranmsmissions and Mid Chamber receptions.
