To open an account, you need to use a cheque drawn from your nominated linked bank account and make it payable, or endorsed, to ING DIRECT. Once the account is opened, you may deposit cheques drawn on your nominated linked bank account made payable, or endorsed, to ING DIRECT. You may also deposit third party cheques made payable, or endorsed, to ING DIRECT by the original payee (note: the cheque must originally be made out to the account holder prior to being endorsed to ING DIRECT). Remember to write you Client Number and Account Number on the back of the cheque.
