The following airconditioners are not currently required to carry and energy label: evaporative airconditioners, three phase airconditioners (these may carry a label on a voluntary basis but are unusual for the residential sector), multi-split airconditioners (units with several separate indoor units each with a separate control), airconditioners intended purely for commercial applications and portable airconditioners.
