What some North American Indian baby names?
The first rule of thumb when naming babies in the Native American religion is to know what you are doing. A lot of people name their kids Dakota or Cheyenne, not realizing that these are actually sacrilegious names in Native American culture. It would be the equivalent of naming your child Christ! So please, go to your local tribe and educate yourself on naming kids in Native American names before you name them something like “Dakota”. I personally love the name Genesee, it is a female name of my own tribe, the Iroquois, it means “beautiful valley”.
