What solar heater is suitable for hard water?
1) INDIRECT HEATING TYPE Ideally suited for hard water areas this system has provision for a tank within the inner tank for raw water and distilled water respectively Solar water heater heats the distilled water heater in the collector thermosyphon process This heat IS transferred to the in the inner tank (Refer drawing) 2) DIRECT HEATING TYPE Most suitable for domestic application where water IS not hard In this system raw water circulates from the solar collector to the inner container by natural thermosyphon Temperature of the hot water in this case would be higher that of the indirect system (Refer diagram)
