What software/hardware is on the library laptops?
The library laptops run on a wireless network and do not require data plugs. There are laptops with a CD-ROM and 3.5 floppy drive and laptops with a CD-ROM/CD-R (writer)/DVD player drive but no floppy drive. The following software is installed on the laptops: • Netscape Communicator 4.79 • Adobe Acrobat Reader 5.5 with search options • SSH Secure Telnet • Microsoft Office XP • Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.
