What software does DF/Net use for data management?
DF/Net uses DataFax, an off-the-shelf study and data management software package developed by Clinical DataFax Systems Inc. to collect, enter, and manage faxed Case Report Forms for all of our clinical trials.DataFax is software which uses fax machines, bar codes and Intelligent Character Recognition (ICR) technologies to collect and monitor clinical study data. Paper Case Report Forms (CRFs) are completed with pen and ink at the clinical sites and then transmitted using standard or Internet-enabled fax machines to the DataFax system located at DF/Net.DataFax is a closed system with centralized data management at DF/Net. The images of case report forms are automatically received, processed by ICR software, and stored in a proprietary database on the DataFax server. Further human processing is performed using a controlled workflow process to verify/correct the ICR, enter data as needed, and perform other data review and data management steps.Review is performed at DF/Net using a visual
