What small or medium sized dog breeds are good to run with?
I have given you a list of dogs that you may want to consider, basically the most energetic smaller dogs are the terriers or spaniels as they are bred for hunting. But not all terriers are great with children. I would strongly suggest you consider a beagle, love kids and love running. Miniature Pinscher are very energetic, and as long as bought up with children are OK with them Jack Russell Terrier, energetic and good with children, not good with other dogs, so most probably would have to be kept leashed Border Terrier – great with kids, needs lots of exercise Beagle – great with kids, must have loads of exercise.
