What Small Dog breeds are NOT aggresive?
The dogs were never meant to be aggressive towards people, it’s a matter of people thinking it’s “cute” when the dog misbehaves and not bothering to correct the dog because the dog is small. Often called Little Dog Syndrome. With JRTs they need a LOT of exercise otherwise they will be monsters. In 99% of cases I would say aggression in dogs is due to the owner. If you are a disciplinarian regardless of whether a dog weighs 4 pounds or 200 as long as you don’t go through a pet store or puppy mill you should be okay with any breed of dog. JRTs might be too interested in cats, but most cats are bigger than a Chi, especially if you have a cat that has been around dogs. Anything with “Terrier” in the name is going to be tenacious and have a prey drive.
