What SLPA classes should a student take during his/her first semester of SLPA coursework?
As stated in the Application Information, Introduction to Speech Language Pathology (SLPA 1101) must be taken prior to applying to the program. SLPA 1101 is offered in the fall semester only, on Thursday evenings from 6 to 9:30 pm. Additionally, a student who intends to apply to the program should enroll in Phonetics (SLPA 1105) during his/her first semester of SLPA coursework in order to complete the program on the preferred two-year sequence. SLPA 1105 is offered in the fall semester only, on Tuesday evenings from 6 to 9 p.m. Please note that enrolling in only SLPA 1101 will automatically place the student on a three-year plan of completion.
