What skills make a successful Team Manager?

I’ve seen a lot of people at these talks who don’t know anything about cycling, but they can relate to my stories. The stories may have a cycling theme, but at the end of the day, what makes a successful team manager is really no different than a manager or CEO at a company. Sure, the cycling and tactical knowledge are necessary elements, but when you step back and look at the big picture it really comes down to being able to successfully manage people.
