What skills, experience and personal qualities are needed for the role?
You’ll have technical experience in medical equipment maintenance or be a qualified biomedical engineer. Ideally you will have mentored or practically trained apprentices and have experience of setting up training programmes and workshops. You’ll need good communications skills, in order to build strong relationships with hospital staff. You’ll need to be flexible, as often the equipment, or the techniques to fix the equipment may be dated and take longer than you may be used to in the UK.
