What skills are tested in the Speaking test?
A. The test is designed to elicit a wide range of speaking skills from the candidates. Part 1 focuses on giving information of a factual, personal kind. Part 2 focuses on using functional language to make and respond to suggestions, discuss alternatives, make recommendations and negotiate agreement. Part 3 focuses on describing photographs and managing discourse. Part 4 focuses on giving opinions, likes/dislikes, preferences, experiences, habits etc.
