What Skills Are Required for Physical Therapy Assistants?
The job of a physical therapy assistant is to help the physical therapist provide treatments to patients. Treatments are intended to improve mobility, lessen a disability or relieve some level of pain. Therapy assistants can be asked to help patients with exercise programs, prepare a therapy room or process or train the patient to use certain types of equipment. Patients can come from all walks of life and have varying life experiences requiring the assistant to be open to all kinds of people.
