The 24 ga. Will attach 3 pieces of 24 gauge Christmas light wire of which was the UL 588 standard for miniature lights manufactured before 1997. The 20 ga. Clip will hold 3 pieces of the 20 gauge or the new UL 588 standard. The CSA 1/4″ clip will hold 3 pieces of the CSA 18 gauge standard wire for miniature lights. The 24 gauge clips will attach a standard piece of 20-2 XTWA Christmas light wire and the 20 gauge clips will attach the larger 18-2 XTWA wire.
