What Sized Ozone Generator KIlls Mold?
Sizing an ozone generator depends greatly upon a number of factors. Area size, level of contamination, and type of use all come into consideration. We don’t like to list square footage ratings for our machines because we feel these numbers have no meaning. Sizing depends upon what are you trying to accomplish. Using an ozone generator to help rid a mild odor is a completely different use than using one to kill mold or remove strong pet urine smells. So for a manufacturer to claim a machine covers 3000 square feet, is absolutely meaningless! A smoky, odor filled room needs more ozone than a relatively clean room. It is very important to understand there is a great difference between air purification in occupied rooms, and high ozone shock treatments blasted into unoccupied rooms, that are a must to remove mold odor and kill mold.
