What size tire will fit on the factory spare tire mount?
A 33″ tire will fit fine as well as some 35″ tires just barely but your bigger problem will be in regards to your wheels and the amount of back spacing they have. Factory BS is 6.25″ and if you get something that has too little BS, you may find that your tire side walls will no longer make contact with the rubber isolators and this can be a problem. Without the side walls making contact with the isolators, the spare can jiggle around enough to cause your tire mount to break. At least, this was a common problem on the TJ’s.
