What size of blade holder should Bauer Vapor 40 skates have?
Current standard Bauer D width sizing is for the holder to be the same for each full size, therefore an 8 and 8.5 would have the same size (272mm). This has been the protocol as far back as I can remember. The cutoffs may have been different for EE sizing and recently adjusted to match the D width standards. I should also note that the standard was temporarily abandoned on the Supreme line that had the One90 as its flagship model. Because Bauer’s new lasts were fitting larger, users generally had to go down 1/2 a size to achieve their normal fit. As such, holder cutoffs were also adjusted down a 1/2 size to match boot fit (an 8.5 took a 280mm because it actually fit like a 9 used to). This protocol was reversed to the previous norm with the launch of the One95 line.
