What size housing should provide for a harris hawk?
You need both state and federal permits to keep a wild bird, especially a raptor. And, as someone before me said, you will have to work with a licensed falconer. A hawk needs a large aviary, 20′ x 40′ so that it can get the necessary flying exercise. This is NOT something to be undertaken by a novice. Check zoning for your area, also any CC & R’s that may affect your property. Check with your local Fish & Game to obtain the names of licensed falconers with whom you may connect. One last thing- it is illegal to buy or sell a wild bird or animal, so don’t go there.
