What size cricket bat do i need?
Depends on how tall you are. Most adults have a Short Handle bat, but you could have a Long Handle bat if you are very tall. If you’re under about 5ft 7ish, then you may want to look at getting one a little bit smaller. The best thing to do is go to a decent cricket shop (not somewhere like JJB Sports as they just have a small rubbish selection, you’re better off in local sports shops where you don’t get some spotty 17 year old with no experience trying to flog you the wrong thing), and try a few out of different size. Probably the most important thing once you have the size sorted will be the weght of the bat. Go with what feels most comfortable, and with cricket bats you do get what you pay for. If you pay £50 for a bat, don’t expect it to be too great. If you’re playing regularly for a club play, you need to be looking at paying £100 or more for a decent bat.
