What simple shooting tips do you recommend for better quality video?
1) Use a tripod whenever possible. It will reduce shaking. 2) Never use digital zoom. Get as close to whatever you are shooting as possible and then use optical zoom to make up whatever other differences there are. 3) Take advantage of available light. Whenever possible avoid backlighting your video subject (so if the sun is setting behind them, try to change your angle slightly so the sun isn’t directly behind what you’re shooting. 4) Shoot more video than you think you need. You can always edit out extra footage but you can’t get it back if you never recorded it in the first place. 5) Shoot video often. The only way you get good at anything is through practice. Shooting more video will make you better at it.
