What side effects may occur with warfarin?
Side effects of warfarin are unusual if you take your medication regularly as instructed, have your clinician check your INR often, and notify your clinician of any changes in your diet, vitamins, food supplements, herbal preparations, other medications (either prescription or those bought “over the counter”), change in your level of exercise, getting sick, smoking, and consuming alcohol. By far, bleeding is the most common and most serious side effect of warfarin.
