What side effects can be caused by Klonopin?
Like other drugs Klonopin may cause some unwanted side effects. Not everyone will experience these. Report any of these to your doctor if they become bothersome. (There is a risk of serious side effects, including death, with all medications that are used to treat seizures. However, this risk is exceedingly small.) • The most common side effects of Klonopin are sedation and incoordination. These side effects usually go away as your body adjusts to the drug or the dose are adjusted. • Behavioral problems including depression or hyperactivity may occur. • Some patients experience drooling from an increase in saliva. This usually improves with adjustment of the medication dose. Women who plan to have children should consult with the doctor about the possible effects on the fetus.
