What shrimp are present in the seagrasses of SAB?
St. Andrew Bay is like many shores on the Florida Shelf. Seagrass is a very important part of the Bay. It is home to many different species. One of the many organisms that live in the seagrass is shrimp. One type of shrimp that occupy our seagrass is pink shrimp. Usually it is just the juveniles of pink shrimp. These shrimp are usually caught all year around, but the normal time is spring, summer, and fall. Another type of shrimp found in the seagrass is white shrimp.
