What shrimp are commonly available in the UK?
Fan shrimp are the most common, usually A. Spinipes (bamboo shrimp), A. Moluccensis (Common Fan shrimp) and the Cameroon Atyopsis sp. (Armoured/Mole shrimp) Sometimes Caridina Japonica (Amano Shrimp) and some Macrobrachium sp. (usually new guinea long-arm shrimp) are also found in the shops too. Others sometimes appear on lists, but if you want a particular species you will need to be very patient.
