First, make sure that the outlet that you are plugged into has power. Then make sure that the cord is OK. I’m not sure about the Vaio, but most laptops have an external power supply. That could be bad. Also the cord from the power supply to the computer. There should be an indicator on the Laptop that tells you that you have a good source of AC power. Ditto for the power supply. Trouble shooting this is just a matter of starting at the source (the wall outlet) and moving up toward the lap top and checking each item along the way.
