My son turned 2 on June 28. He weighs 26lbs. Not an ounce of fat on him! My son can only say 15-20 words and the doctor said not to worry, as long as he can point to objects when I ask “where is the dog” etc. Can your son do that? My son knows hundreds of objects, he just can’t say them yet. Does your son follow simple commands? Like, go get the ball or where is your glass? He should be able to do these things. My son is very good with his mobility. He can balance on one leg for a moment, climb, run like the wind, jump up, spin around, walk backwards, and just about any other thing you can imagine. His doctor thinks that is why he is behind in his speech, because he has concentrated on his mobility first. Does your son know body parts? Can he point to them? My son has done this since 16 months. All of this being said, every child is different and develops differently. Talk with your pediatrician about your concerns. If he/she is not worried, then stop comparing and enjoy your son. The
