What should i write in a letter to a teacher i like?
Ok, first off, don’t go down the Facebook route. New guidance that is coming out suggests that teachers remove themselves from all social networking sites. I’m not sure how this will be enforced but you can bet that Facebook pages could be overly scrutinised. The other thing is that if you are 18 and, in effect, this guy isn’t going to be a teacher at your school, the relationship is not actually illegal. Sure, it would be frowned upon by the school, but you are a consenting adult so are free to make your own choices. Whether your teacher takes you up on this and tarnish his professional reputation is up to him. I think you need to be slightly careful. Looking at the facts, you are lusting after a guy who carries alot of emotional baggage. That is a lot to take on for an 18 year old girl. I’m not saying it cannot work – there are stories of students and teachers hooking up and living happily ever after, but they are quite few and far between. You have 2 ways to go with this really.
