What should I wear & bring for bellydance?
Please wear clothes you can comfortably exercise in: yoga pants, fitted t-shirts, tank tops, sports bras, etc. You do not have to show your belly. 🙂 That’s totally up to you! Please do not wear long skirts or “harem pants” in beginner classes, as I need to be able to see your knees. No jeans, please! You can wear soft shoes (like ballet slippers), socks, or dance barefoot. I recommend that you wear a hip wrap of some kind to help you focus on your hips. A hip wrap can be any scarf or material tied around the waist. Coin scarves are fun! I have some for sale; please let me know if you’d like a particular color.
