Use a flat bladed razor (scraper) from both directions (horizontal and vertical). Use long swipes and it should come off easily. No – don’t use chemicals as 1) silicon is resistant to most and 2) you’ll have trouble getting the silicon to bond back on. When you re-do the job, cut an angled slice across the silicone nozzle and push the silicon in front of the gun with one smooth swipe if you can. Use your finger in a rubber glove to smooth the silicon in the opposite direction to how you pushed it in. Use as little silicon as you can to fill the gap and clean up after about three hours with your flat razor blade again!
