What should I take in school so that I can eventually work at MuchMusic?
A. The best we can do is tell you what the background and education is of the employees here. Many of the jobs at MuchMusic are technical which include editing, general operations, camera operation, computer services (both hardware and those who handle our websites, etc.), creative services (e.g. designing logos on computers in our graphics department), etc. Non-technical jobs range from producers and programmers to publicity jobs and public relations. And then of course there are our on-air personalities. Depending on which of these areas most appealed to you, you would choose the appropriate educational and practical preparation. Many people who work here have either done a degree in Radio and Television Broadcasting at the university or college level (many have gone to Ryerson), or have some sort of Communications degree.
