I always like to bring projects that are great solutions to tough problems. It brings out the specific problem solving ability and the impact of your solutions. It also brings forward a great dialogue with the interviewer. Bring 3-5 of your greatest pieces / campigns and 1-2 pieces of your specialty. (20 could be too many during an interview). When interviewing, or meeting new clients for the first time, I bring a couple ad campaigns I’ve worked on, a couple meeting/event solutions (event logo / posters / hangtags / handouts / promo designs / nametag/ placard / presentation template / giveaway), and a couple specialty pieces of which mine is illustration.
