• Both classes and sessions are conducted in quiet, relaxing, private settings to enhance your ability to focus on your bodys movements. • In ATM classes the teacher verbally leads you through gentle movements. To reduce strain and enhance focus many of the movements are performed lying on mats. Movements that require sitting and standing may also be performed. • In FI sessions you will most likely lie on a low flat table while the practitioner, slowly and with no exertion beyond the point of resistance, raises your limbs, bends and rotates your joints, flexes your muscles, and extends your digits. • The movements may be repeated several times either individually or in a sequence of related movements as an aid to learning.
