What should i do with the water geyser in order to save electricity (and money)?
It does depend on if it is a hot water storage type or an immediate heating type. If it is the storage kind then how long does it take to heat a full tank…determine this time by experiment. If your mum has use for a full tank, if not, only turn on just prior to when the water is required I.E the amount she expects to be using, again experiment and note how long it would take to heat up the amount required for the different jobs your mum might tackle, keep these notes and use the information to gain savings. If large amounts of hot water are required daily then an overnight cheap rate economy meter would be of usage here with the correct timings in place see your electrical company for this. If it is of the instantaneous type then it doesn’t matter so long as the water obtained is used in an appropriate manner and not wasted.
