What should i do with my year 9 options?

The name of the game is ‘keep your options open’. If you imagine yourself in a room with an infinite number of open doors leading to careers then each subject you drop will close some of the doors. At the moment you should try to keep as any of the doors open as possible. Ask for advice from your subject teachers who will be able to tell you whether you are likely to do well at his/her subject and also take into account whether you enjoy a subject – but do not take into account the personality of the teacher as you probably will not have the same teacher taking you for GCSE! If you have some idea of the kind of job you would eventually like to do you can check up what subjects you will need to have studied to be able to do it. (On the other hand you may have some idea of jobs you definitely do not want to do!). After that it is up to you!

What is your question?
