What should i do with my mother Guinea pig after giving birth to dead babies?
It depends on the bleeding. If she’s bleeding heavily, you should probably get her to the vet sooner rather than later. If the bleeding seems to be slowing and getting lighter, then keep an eye on her overnight, I would check on her every couple of hours and if she’s still bleeding at all in the morning call the vet to touch base. Sorry about the babies. Some extra TLC for your pig and try to keep her shavings as clean as you can. You don’t say how old your pig is, but the older they get, the higher the mortality rate for the babies. I recommend retiring Cupcake from any more breeding.
