What should I do to clean the cleanouts behind the burnpot?
There are two cleanouts behind the burnpot of the stove that should be cleaned weekly. To clean these you will need to remove the screw holding them in place and slide the cleanout up. The hole for these cleanouts is fairly small and can be difficult to clean out. You can use a small shop vac extension to clean these out, but keep in mind that shop vac can blow ashes into the room. You can purchase a vacuum specifically designed for ash removal to prevent ashes from getting into the home. You can also use a small tool to help remove the ash, some people have found that using an old spoon can make this chore a little easier.
