What should I do if I get a message on my PC Client that says “Unable to gain control of the i2004 device” and a message on my i2004 set that says “Server unreachable Restarting”?
Ensure that the User ID and domain are the same on the PC Client and the i2004 device. To check the user information on the i2004 set, press the “View” button, arrow down to “5. Line Information” and press the “Select” button. Here you can see the domain that you are logged into on the set. If you have a hollow telephone icon next to your SIP user ID on the i2004 set, then you may not be logged in properly. Go to Services, and arrow down to “5. User Login” and press “Select.” Make sure you are in proper Alpha/No-Alpha mode when you are prompted to enter the Login ID and the same when prompted for the Password. When you are prompted for the “Enter Logon Time” press the “Use Prov” button.
