What should I do if I can’t complete a Visa payWave transaction at checkout?
Look at the merchant’s card reader to identify whether it has the Visa payWave symbol. The merchant may have a problem with their card reader or the symbol may not be present. In either event, you can still make a transaction with your M&T Check Card or Credit Card the traditional way by “swiping” your card.
