What should I do if I cannot change my workgroup name to “uofmremote” when installing OfficeScan from home?
This is definitely the preferred method of install and will aid IST in managing remote installs on the OfficeScan Management Console. HOWEVER, if there is a valid reason why you cannot change your workgroup name to “uofmremote”, you can still install OfficeScan. To help us with identifying different remote installs, send your FULL NAME, USERID, OPERATING SYSTEM (ie: Windows.2K/ME/XP/95/98/NT etc.), WORKSTATION NAME, WORKGROUP NAME and METHOD OF REMOTE ACCESS your are using (ie: mts, shaw, uofm dial-up modem etc.) to the HEAD OF IST SECURITY.
