Before using clobetasol topical, notify your doctor if you are allergic to any drugs, or if you have any type of skin infection. Temovate alone will not treat the condition if it is an infection. Get the medical attention if the condition does not improve or if it gets worse after 2 weeks treatment. Don’t forget to tell your doctor if you are a patient of diabetes. Topical steroid medicines absorbed through the skin may leads to an increase in the glucose (sugar) levels in your blood or urine. Generic Temovate clobetasol falls under the category of FDA pregnancy category C. It is unknown whether this treatment will be harmful to an unborn baby during pregnancy. So it is advised not to use this medication without first consulting your doctor if you are pregnant or could become pregnant during treatment. If it is necessary to use Temovate during pregnancy, your doctor may suggest the smallest amount of dosage, for the shortest time necessary to treat the condition.
