What should I check for when buying my first second-hand car from a private seller?
Open up the hood , check the oil dip stick make sure it looks clean like not alot of black on the dipstick , like black if is is itt means its burning oil , if it is a japanese car and over 70,000 miles make sure the timing belt and water pump has been changed , also when you go to look at the car make sure the engine is cold when they start it up , so that there is no starting problems , also look at the coolant levels when its cool so the coolant should not be water but actually coolant
