Concrete Block In tropical climates block homes act as a “heat sink” and keep the house cooler in the hot months. However, in the cold months it acts the same way…It will be harder to heat the block home and cost you more in heating bills. • Now with the price of concrete up, the cost for a block home will be higher. • Insulation Value : Little insulation value. •
