Employers should be aware of their obligations under the ‘duty of care’ and ‘Managing Occupational Road Risk’ legislation to undertake risk assessments and provide training as necessary. Employers should therefore be conducting assessments and arranging the requisite training courses a matter of course in order to minimise the risk of prosecution in the event of an accident.
