What should charity and fundraising company chief executives do to engage with the Fundraising Standards Board?
• Read the terms and conditions of joining the Fundraising Standards Board scheme. • Read the Fundraising Standards Board complaints process. • Inform and engage trustees so they endorse the scheme. • Review and, if need be, re-structure your organisation’s internal complaints process. • Nominate a complaints co-ordinator to be the point of contact with the Fundraising Standards Board. • Sign up to the Fundraising Standards Board scheme. • Ensure the Director of Fundraising: • makes sure all fundraisers have access to, understand and comply with the Codes of Fundraising Practice and The Fundraising Promise; • fundraisers are made aware of the organisation’s complaints handling procedure and evaluation procedure; • up-dates fundraising materials and the website, adding the Fundraising Standards Board logo and referring to The Fundraising Promise; • briefs the design teams and suppliers. • Monitor complaint reporting procedures and statistics to ensure the information is readily availabl
