What should be the first step in the job search process?
The following are some of our steps in the job search process: Build a resume. Quantify as much as possible in your resume. Use numbers to describe your accomplishments. Modify, as needed emphasizing certain skills for particular companies you are targeting. • Target industries and/or companies. • Research companies on the web. • NETWORK with your associates. • Establish a group of 3-4 people that are looking for career changes and meet with them on a regular basis to discuss their progress and share leads with each other. • Work with executive recruiters. • If necessary, work with a career counselor. • Keep a positive attitude through this process • Be diligent about following up with all leads.
