Well, Nicole, this would obviously depend on the age of the car. I own a 1987 Civic, and if I were to replace the engine in that one, it would run me about 750 dollars for a rebuilt motor. Now, if you own a much newer one, say less than ten years old, I would guess it would run you about 2500 bucks for a rebuild. If you bought a brand new engine, then you could exceed the worth of the car. Peace, Pretty Lady!
